Call of Duty: World at War: Meine Kampf: The Lost Chapters: Hitler on the Run
Call of Duty: World at War's developer Treyarch has confirmed the existence of an exciting new expansion pack for its hugely popular first person shooter on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Provisionally titled "Call of Duty: World at War: Meine Kampf: The Lost Chapters: Hitler on the Run" this new expansion sees you taking on the role of Germany's most infamous dictator, as you plot his escape from a crumbling Berlin. Taking in such stunning locations as the Bavarian Mountains, the wrecked and scorched back streets of Downtown Berlin and Adolf's home on the Obersalzberg, this epic new storyline allows you to experience the horrors of war from the viewpoint of this much-maligned rogue.

Treyarch's official press release states that:

"Desperate for freedom and the time to finish writing his new book, Adolf makes his daring escape from Berlin. Hounded by the bastions of law and order, our frightened hero finds refuge with the Nazi underworld who offer him chance to breath fresh air and bask in the sunlight again. Moving from safehouse to underground lair, Adolf must make best use of the new perks and equipment in his freedom kit while hoping not to miss out on the hidden gold coins scattered through each level that will make him a mole of leisure.

At last he's free but can he make it to the cross-channel Kreuzer Nuernberg before it departs?"

Treyarch has also confirmed that it will be adding a new 'Führer' class to the multiplayer portion of the game with added perks and bonuses, which are detailed below:

First of all, Hitler's famous Walther PPK 7.65mm Pistol will be added to the game's roster of hand guns. It's particularly useful when in 'Last Stand' to put your wounded self out of your misery.

As far as new perks go, so far we've only had four confirmed, but expect more exciting revelations in the future.

'Schutzstaffel Shuffle' Instead of using the vicious dogs which are awarded after 7 kills without reply, you will now be able to unleash a horde of 'Schutzstaffel' zombies on your enemies. These slow moving, lumbering un-dead masses can easily be out-run, but beware, because they're invincible, highly dangerous and can kill with a single strike. Similarly to the dogs, their attacks last for one minute before they vanish in a puff of smoke.

'Pill Popping' When in Last Stand you can now take the real coward's way out by using a cyanide pill to end your own life without your opponent receiving a point for the kill. You will of course still incur a death.

'Stache-tastic' Allows you to utilise the power of the magical Hitler 'stache to disguise yourself as a player on the opposing team. Your gamertag and squad markings will change to that of one of the opposing players giving you the opportunity to infiltrate the enemy's camp undetected.

'Sieg Heil' Perform the Nazi salute in order to empower your whole squad and make them invincible for ten seconds. However, performing this perk will leave you vulnerable to attack for five seconds as you're unable to use any weapons while you perform the salute.

Treyarch is yet to officially confirm the release date of this expansion pack though our sources have hinted that the 15th of August is likely.

More as we get it.
